Just some hiking that we've done in the past.
I just love the detail in the rocks.

Scrap-cards
Here are a few scrap-cards that I've made recently...my sister Caitlyn also makes scrap-cards instead of buying cards for special occasions and just to send to friends & family to say "Hi." Not having any extra money growing up, we've sort of made it a tradition to make DIY things for gifts and the like. We love getting one-of-a-kind gifts and when they are handmade, they are that much more meaningful.

Cake stands Cor & I made for Mother's Day this year.

Personal Calendar
Everytime I buy a new calendar for my purse, I HAVE to make it MINE...Meaning, I have to make it look fun and exciting--so that it might brighten my day and better my mood when I know I have a hectic day ahead of me, lol! This how I decorated it for 2011.

Up-Cycled T
My seatbelt rubbed holes in one of my favorite V-T's and this is the solution I came up with to save it!

After cleaning, reading for a bit and going to Walmart to print a few pics--I got a little scrapbooking in! I'm so excited that I don't work 7 days a week anymore!
Cory's Cousin Andrea earned her Masters Degree and they threw a little party for her ♥

They even rented a bouncy house!
I was so sore the entire week after the party.
Sorry they're a bit blurry--wish I had my old camera back!

My best friend is getting married next Saturday...May 21, 2011!!!! Since my friend Krystal really liked her dessert stand that Cor & I made her & her new hubby I decided that Blanca may really appreciate one too. Blanca likes fancy looking things anyway--so it's an awesome idea :) I found these super pretty, vintage looking, MATCHING plates at Joshua Springs Thrift Store, and then I found a really awesome porceline candle holder.

The Dessert stand I made yesterday for Cory & I...he has been helping me to glue these things together since I can't ever seem to center them right. BUT--this one I did all by myself! It matches our dishes perfectly :)

I also finished this little scrap postcard today...went to work on another one and realized I was out of glue sticks. So, I had to make a trip to Walmart for more.

Got some glue sticks!! So here are the rest of the postcards I made today...

The colors of the two above came out weird in their photos...I took these photos under yellowish lighting at night. They are much brighter in person. I'll have to get better ones.

So, it's been quite some time since I've posted anything about my crafting adventures. Yes, I took a break from the blogaroo for a couple of years but I did not take a break from crafting. How in the world could I? Lol. It's kind of my means of maintaining sanity and peace. Here are some photos of crafts I've been up to:

I put together a scrapbook for my sister & her husband to put their favortie photos from their wedding into. All of the pages are premade and can be rearranged and added to.

Although I haven't had much time over the past 3 yrs. to add to my scrapbook, I've found time recently since I've completed school and haven't started work just yet. Let me tell you, it's been sooo nice to get back to scrapbooking! It is my love.

I've also engaged in some card making :) Mostly for recent celebrations/occassions and swap-bot swaps. I enjoy making handmade cards to brighten a friend's day too. Every so often I'll make one for my BFF & pop it in the mail as a suprise. It's so nice to open up your mailbox and see something other than a bill, lol.

And last but not least, I've participated in a few swap-bot swaps. The photos above are ATCs and Deco book pages. You can find out more about ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) and Deco Books here & here.
