Silly Guy

My husband & I each have a Bearded Dragon...when I woke up yesterday, I put his (Beast) in the cage, and mine (Irwin) was left to roam around our bedroom. We take turns putting them in the cage because we have to sperarate them or they will fight to the death, lol! We had a lot of running around to do...so when we came home last night--I searched for Irwin. Usually he finds his way to the closet or the bathroom and goes to sleep in a corner somewhere. Last night, the silly little guy found the basket we used to use as his bed in our last rental. He hasn't used it since we moved 2 months ago, and he would usually sleep on my pillow at night so I didn't think he wanted it anymore. The basket was under my desk! He cracks me up! I had to take a picture of him:

And to think I was going to get rid of this basket...poor guy looks pooped. I think he really likes his bed. It makes you wonder if Bearded Dragons can be trained. Hmmm...I'll have to look into it!

This is a photo I took 2 weeks ago of him...he's a bit of a crazy sleeper. He tosses and turns and wiggles a lot in his sleep. I think it's the cutest thing ever.

Awesome Quirkiness

I have the bestestest co-workers in the world! Thanks to my friend Cathy, I now have this awesome tea light holder for the bedroom...and Cory loves it too! Woo hoo! I thought he was going to hate it, but I'm pretty suprised that he lets me decorate with my macrame owls, yellow and orange flowers, floral sheets...pillows everwhere...he's awesome and never complains or says he doesn't like something. I think I'm pretty lucky to have him ♥ 'Cause I couldn't live without these things! And we compromise...I hung him a neat shelf with little cubbies in it so that he could display his lego cars and john deere tractors :) That way he gets to see the things he loves and doesn't feel like he's sleeping in my bedroom, lol. And Shhh...I can't believe I'm admitting this...but I'm starting to adore his little obsession with RC cars, LEGO's, and such. But lets just keep that between us, he hasn't read my blog yet and I don't think he's even interested, lol. But he rarely uses the computer for anything other than looking for auto parts, RC cars, and to watch something on Netflix! I'd probably be really embarrassed if read my blog...not sure though.

Cathy found it at a thrift store in town for $1!!! She cracks me up. We were talking about weird things that we like to find @ thrift stores and she stops me, "have you seen A Christmas Story? You know the leg lamp in the movie? I have a tea light in my car if you want it!" It never fails. She always has the most random things in her car, in her desk, or in her purse. We joke because I always tell her she's like Mary Poppins! If you ever need anything, about 97% of the time--she'll have it!

Left: Sears brand appliance/lamp 24 hr. timer in my favorite colors
Right: Super cool ceramic container of some kind for a barber shop? I really have no idea but it's neat and says "Hats, Caps, & Furs" on it!
Middle: Really nifty little glass tray that I bought at an Angel View thrift store in town. I cracked me up so I couldn't resist. I'm using it on my nightstand for a tea bag holder, lol.

Morning!

Had a bit of a rough night last night...just worried about my car and what's going to happen next. I'm a little exhausted this morning but suprised I woke up on time. Hopefully by the end of the day we'll have figured out what the heck went wrong with my car and pray that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Otherwise, I guess I'm getting a new car that's going to cost me an arm and leg every month because I haven't had time to save up just yet. Why me? I guess it could be worse...I just have to remind myself that this is the reason we moved in with my mother-in-law in the first place--to save for a new car, and save for a down payment on a home....sometimes it sucks being a big kid. But honestly, I couldn't be happier than I am now♥ I'm very thankful we had the option, I know many others are not so fortunate. Sometimes, "It is what it is..." --Thea, a woman I work with @ GCDC says this to me all the time and I couldn't think of a better way to put it! It's time for some coffee!

Love this mug!! This weekend I think I'm going to go out thrifting and find a cool crockpot for my sis and a nifty new mug to add to my collection! This just made me smile this morning...got a little excited thinking about thrifting this weekend, lol.
